Description

Amaco Liquid Underglaze is shaken before use and applied in 2-4 layers with a soft brush. They can be fired at 1044°C (cone 05) or at 1220°C (cone 5/6) to 1260°C (cone 10) with color and texture variations (see pictures). The examples on our website are made on white clay and fired at 1044°C in combination with LG-10 glossy clear glaze on one half of the tile. Without clear glaze, underglazes are not food safe. As a clear glaze at stoneware temperatures HF-9 or SW-004 is recommended. Test firings are recommended before application on production. 473 ml.

These colors cover large areas quickly. Also excellent for detail painting, sgraffito, watercolor effects, wax resist and mishima decoration. AMACO LUG's can be brushed on wet clay, leather hard or on slip-fired ceramics. An underglaze for a variety of techniques. With clear glaze the color is intensified.
