Description

Transparent stoneware glaze set for brushing. This clear glaze is developed for use on glazes and clays containing chrome pigments. Fires to between cone 6/5 (1210°C - 1230°C) At 1260°- 1300°C the glaze can become floury with inclusions. 473 ml. Ready-mixed. This clear glaze is zinc free and is recommended to be used with underglazes to reduce color shifts at higher temperatures.

Cone 6 oxidation (larger image): Zinc Free Clear is a specialty clear glaze designed for use on glazes containing chrome-based pigments. It ensures that you will get a brilliant, smooth and crystal clear surface over these colors.

Cone 10 reduction (smaller image): No Change.

TIP: If applied too thick, fired finish may become cloudy.
