Giffin Grip

In the early 1970s, Brian Giffin was working full-time as a production ceramist while studying ceramics at the University of Northern Colorado. Looking for ways to increase his efficiency, he had an idea that would change his life and ultimately the entire world of ceramics. He soon left school to work on his invention - a practical solution that would eventually become known as the 'Giffin Grip'.

He knew what it was like to throw clay for a living and built his business on the belief that potters deserve real value for every penny spent. Great care has been taken to ensure the tool performs flawlessly over decades of hard use in the studio. The “no questions asked” guarantee is not only a reflection of this commitment, but a by-product of the remarkable durability of the original design. That's why the Giffin Grip is more than just a tool that centers and holds your pots. It is a work of art. It is the culmination of a potter's unbridled imagination, which has been saving time and expanding the potential of artists' work and businesses for more than 40 years.
